About Curtis

In October of 2016, my 44 year old brother was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer. He was given nine months and lived Nine months and three days. He was my best friend/brother. He fought a hard tough fight! He was an advocate against this disease and therefore I am very compassionate in this fight for a cure! We fished, hunted, and did whatever we could to enjoy our last few months together. Every day we spent reminiscing and planning to the end. Whatever he wanted to do he got to do with all the power within my capability. He was loved by so many and he made sure he taught them about this horrid disease. Because of his testimony forty three men were seen by physicians and checked. Something he wanted them to make sure to have checked regularly. I was blessed to hold him and be by his side until the very end. He was a man of strong faith and fought so hard to make sure this disease didn’t get him until it was completely done. He suffered, but he smiled on. His determination made me realize that nothing is impossible. This disease doesn’t have an age limit or a factor. It has no mercy! I will always be an advocate for him and this disease. I pushed a many of miles for him in his wheelchair, held him while he walked a walker, I bathed, tied shoes, dressed him and changed his diapers. Wouldn’t take it back for one minute! Why wouldn’t I since as the baby girl, he did all those things for me growing up. He taught me life is a precious gift and we should wake up every day feeling blessed we are still here and to cherish every minute!
