About Hundreds of men

I am a physical therapist who specializes in treating the pelvic floor muscles. It has been my privilege to work with hundreds of men dealing with prostate cancer as a healthcare provider. I see men before and after prostatectomy and radiation therapy to assist them with strengthening their pelvic floor muscles to decrease the impact of their symptoms. It is always difficult for these men to wrap their minds around what they are going through because often they have no symptoms when they are diagnosed but their treatment options to address the cancer can lead to urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction. I have met so many courageous men who keep their spirits high and their sense of humor intact while dealing with a very difficult health issue. I am happy to say that my role as a pelvic floor physical therapist is to help them navigate dealing with these new symptoms and to assist them in getting stronger and ultimately regaining continence. It is so important for men who have prostate cancer to work with a pelvic floor physical therapist. It has been such a positive experience for me and my wonderful patients and I am so happy to be a part of helping them return to normal!
