About Loryn S.
The caregiver I would like to honor is my sister. My father got diagnosed with prostate cancer in March of 2020 and my sister dropped everything to be by his side and help in any way she could including doctors appointments, radiation, etc. He managed to get his numbers up and seemed to be doing better but began a sudden decline in January of 2021 and my sister once again took on the brunt of the work as my other sister and I had young children. She kept track of all his appointments, his medication and eventually moved in to his one bedroom apartment with him, sleeping in the living room to provide him his wish of at him hospice. She really put her life aside and gave him her all, taking months off of work to do so. He ended up passing in May of 2021 but I’ll never forget all the time and love she gave him and neither will he. She is an incredible person who deserves to be honored for all the selflessness and love she poured into her role as a caregiver without a second thought. The picture I attached is one of my favorite pictures of the two of them.
