In memory of Frederick W. Bolliger

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend, Fred Bolliger.

Born on May 19, 1936, Fred enjoyed life for nearly 79 years until he succumbed to prostate cancer on May 12, 2015. He fought a valiant battle, but in the end this devastating disease was just bigger than he. Fred is survived by his wife Sande; his sister Marlene; his three children: Jeffrey, Scott and Nicole; his two step-children: Kiersten and Sean; his ten grandchildren: Nicholas, Sydney, Victoria, Hannah, Francesca, Olivia, Evan, Vincent, Jillian, and Hayden; two daughters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as friends as countless as there are stars in the sky.

Fred had a tremendous passion for working with his hands, and it brought him great pleasure to “do-it-yourself.” He loved to tinker with bicycles, sewing machines and cars. He was a skilled handyman and took great pride in making his many homes a beautiful place to live. He loved the game of golf (even when it didn’t always love him back) but was certainly enjoying some of the best times of his life in his retirement dancing with his wife Sande, of 23 years, and their great friends at home in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Our hearts are broken at his passing, and he will be missed by so many, but while we remember Fred, let’s also remember that prostate cancer continues to ravage men across the globe.

The Bolliger Family personally thanks you for visiting this page and making a donation in Fred’s memory, in hopes that one day prostate cancer will be eradicated.
