Radium – 233 (Xofigo)

A radioactive element that has properties similar to calcium, allowing it to be taken up by bones in place of calcium, where it can damage nearby tumor cells. Radium-223 is FDA approved for patients with CRPC who have symptomatic bone metastases, and not metastases in any other body sites.
