Home Run Challenge 2026: Supporting Prostate Cancer Research Across America
Father’s Day marked the conclusion of the 2026 Home Run Challenge, a month-long effort to bring prostate cancer awareness to communities across America.
At ballparks in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Milwaukee, Chicago, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, and Boston, PCF Founder Mike Milken and CEO Gina Carithers delivered a simple message with lifesaving urgency: know your risk, get screened, and detect prostate cancer early.
During the campaign, Major League Baseball players hit 502 home runs, helping shine a national spotlight on a disease that affects 1 in 8 men. The reach of the game also provided a powerful platform to highlight the scale and importance of PCF’s longstanding investment in prostate cancer research and scientific innovation.
For more than 30 years, the Prostate Cancer Foundation has invested over $1 billion in research worldwide, helping drive breakthroughs that have contributed to 15 FDA-approved therapies and improved outcomes for patients around the world. Your support to Keep Dad in The Game helps fund the next generation of discoveries, treatments, and cures, so more men are diagnosed earlier, treated more effectively, and live longer lives.

PCF & BIG3 Join Forces to Save Lives Through Early Detection
The “Check the Box! Saving Lives Together” partnership between the Prostate Cancer Foundation and BIG3 is now underway, bringing prostate cancer awareness into the heart of live sports and community culture.
BIG3 is a professional 3-on-3 basketball league that travels city to city, creating high-energy games and fan experiences rooted in competition, music, and culture. Through this platform, PCF is activating in arenas where families, friends, and communities come together, creating space for conversations that can lead to life-saving action.
The first activation took place on June 20 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood during Juneteenth weekend, with the next stop set for July 12 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. At each game, the focus remains the same: encourage men to talk with their doctor, take a simple blood test, and know their PSA score.
By meeting people where they are, this partnership turns cultural moments into opportunities for early detection, and lives saved.
