PCF and Bayer Launch First Annual VA Medical Education Program

This August, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Bayer co-hosted the first-ever PCF-Bayer VA Medical Education Program, a flagship in-person meeting in Santa Monica, CA, bringing together 30 VA healthcare professionals from facilities across the country.

Over a day and a half, faculty and VA clinicians worked through the full arc of prostate cancer care, from localized disease, risk stratification, and surgical management, through survivorship and the long-term effects of treatment, to precision oncology, genetic testing, and the latest advances in treating metastatic disease. Sessions were grounded in the realities of care within the VA system, covering everything from VA clinical pathways and prior authorizations to strategies for expanding clinical trial access to Veterans nationwide.

The program reflects PCF’s continued commitment to equipping the clinicians who care for Veterans, a population that carries a higher burden of prostate cancer, with the latest research and practical tools to improve outcomes.
