Congratulations, Dr. Priceman: Pioneering Cell Therapy for Advanced Prostate Cancer
PCF congratulates Saul Priceman, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicine and Immunology and Immune Therapeutics at Keck School of Medicine of USC and Director of the KSOM/NCCC Center for Cancer Cellular Immunotherapy Research, on being named a recipient of the 2025 PCF Challenge Award. This team-science award also includes John Lee, MD, PhD, of UCLA, and Branden Moriarity, PhD, and Beau Webber, PhD, of the University of Minnesota. Their project, “Multifactorial Antigen-Presenting Gamma-Delta T Cells Targeting Cancer and Viral Antigens for the Treatment of mCRPC,” will develop a novel T cell immunotherapy platform designed to target prostate cancer through both engineered tumor-killing activity and activation of anti-viral memory T cells. T cell immunotherapy has shown powerful potential in blood cancers, but remains unoptimized in prostate cancer and other solid tumors, making this exactly the kind of high-risk, high-reward research PCF is proud to fund.
