One risk factor for prostate cancer is being African-American. African-American men are about 75% more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer than Caucasian men (about 1 in 5.5) and are nearly 2.2 times more likely to die from the disease. It is important to realize though that this does not mean that every African-American man will get prostate cancer or have an aggressive or un-curable prostate cancer.

PCF has put together a guide specifically for African-American men and their families, called Additional Facts for African-American Men and Their Families.

Additional Facts for African-American Men and Their Families provides special facts and guidance regarding African-American men and prostate cancer. The guide includes personal thoughts from Charlie Wilson, D.L. Hughley and Snoop Dogg. (8 pages).  Go here to get your free copy.
