Molecular Imaging Informed Radiation Dose Escalation to Sites of Recurrent Disease and De-escalation to Uninvolved Areas in Salvage Radiotherapy for Prostate Cancer
About This Trial
- This study is for men who previously had surgery to remove their prostate, but whose scans show the cancer is beginning to return in nearby areas.
- Researchers are testing a more precise approach to radiation therapy that delivers stronger doses directly to the returning cancer spots while lowering the radiation dose to surrounding healthy tissue.
- The goal is to safely destroy the returning cancer while reducing side effects.
- Before joining, patients should know that they cannot have received pelvic radiation in the past or have cancer that has spread to distant parts of the body, and they will be monitored for up to five years after treatment.
More Information
- This is a Phase II prospective single-arm trial that is recruiting 80 participants from patients that have biochemical failure after radical prostatectomy with local or regional recurrence proven by PSMA PET.
- Participants of this study will receive molecular imaging informed radiation dose escalation to site of recurrent disease and de-escalation to uninvolved areas.
- Participants will be follow-up as per Standard of Care up to 5 years post-treatment.
