Outpatient Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy

Study of Postoperative Complications After Laparoscopic Outpatient Radical Prostatectomy in Patients With Localized Prostate Cancer

About This Trial

  • This study is looking at the safety of having keyhole surgery to remove the prostate as a same-day procedure, allowing patients to return home without spending the night in the hospital.
  • Researchers want to track any health issues or complications that might occur during the first 30 days after surgery.
  • The trial is open to adult men with localized prostate cancer who are already scheduled to have this operation.
  • Before considering this study, you should know that you must live within 100 kilometers of the clinic, cannot be taking long-term blood-thinning medication, and must have someone stay with you at home during your first night after surgery.
