Prostate Cancer Disparities and the “Last Mile” Problem

Black men are at higher risk of being diagnosed with prostate cancer vs. white men, and, once diagnosed, in the U.S. they are more than twice as likely to die of the disease. That worrisome trend is heading in the wrong direction, according to a new editorial in The ASCO Post authored by PCF Chief Medical Officer William K. Oh, MD, and CEO Charles J. Ryan, MD.
