My name is Ken Garcia, and I am a prostate cancer survivor. I would like to share my journey as an inspiration for others at a special musical performance. The show promises to be a memorable one, where I will be joined by a plethora of talented professional musicians that I’ve collaborated with throughout my vast musical career. The set will kick off with some of my original songs from the mid ‘90s-early 2000s. Next, I will introduce my team of advocates who have supported me through this entire quest and play songs written during this trying time, including “Never Give Up” and “The Walking Man”. I will close the show with a rocking performance highlighting the unique talents of guest musical artists that I’ve shared the stage with over the years. Throughout the show, I will be sharing aspects of my journey for the first time since I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and how music has served as a vessel to communicate my message of strength, hope and faith to others with this disease.

More about Ken:

Ken Garcia grew up in San Bernardino, California and was surrounded by diverse musical influences, from Hispanic to Polynesian. By the age of five, Ken’s uncles frequently encouraged him to play his guitar at family gatherings. Ken differs from other artists in numerous ways. Not only has he maintained an impeccable dental career spanning nearly four decades as well as compiling an impressive body of work musically, including 5 CDs, and live performances that legends are made of. Ken has opened for, toured, and played alongside with national act musicians such as Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Donavon Frankenreider, Pato Banton, Jackson Brown, Marshall Tucker Band, Henry Kapono, Lee Rocker, Lukas Nelson and the late Dick Dale. Ken’s music is a combination of soulful folk rock with a Latin and Hawaiian flavor. His lyrics bask in the warm memories of family and friends, often giving thanks to GOD for the opportunity to take part in such an amazing life…. a life that he would like to share with the rest of the world through his music.
