NEW YORK – June 9, 2022 – Today SiriusXM’s Doctor Radio and NYU Langone Health and its Perlmutter Cancer Center announced the launch of a special series focused on prostate health, cancer research, prevention, and more.
Doctor Radio and NYU Langone Health’s collaboration with the Prostate Cancer Foundation will include one-hour specials airing during the following months: June for Father’s Day; September to support Prostate Cancer Awareness Month; November for National Men’s Health Month; February for Black History Month, focusing on health disparities in prostate care for men; and more.
The Father’s Day special, “The Prostate Health Show,” will be hosted by Dr. Stacy Loeb, a Professor of Urology and Population Health at NYU Langone Health and member of the Perlmutter Cancer Center faculty who specializes in prostate cancer. Speaking with guest Dr. Charles Ryan, President and CEO of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, the show will give listeners an overview of prostate health and will take calls from listeners, giving them an opportunity to ask general medical questions, express concerns, engage in real medical conversations with leading experts, and more. The special will air on Tuesday, June 14 at 5:00 pm ET on Doctor Radio channel 110, and will be available on the SXM App.
In addition, the channel will produce monthly segments featuring experts from the Prostate Cancer Foundation who will speak with show host Dr. Stacy Loeb. These shows will cover a wide range of topics from general prostate health, cancer prevention and screening, diagnosis, treatments and a guide for living with prostate health issues. These segments will be featured as part of the channel’s “Men’s Health” show beginning Wednesday, June 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm ET on Doctor Radio and listeners can also tune in to the show on the SXM App.
To help keep dads in the game and at the forefront of prostate health awareness, Doctor Radio will support the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s 26th annual “Home Run Challenge.” Throughout the month listeners can visit HomeRunChallenge.org to make a one-time donation or pledge for every home run hit from June 1 through June 19, 2022 (Father’s Day) and will be entered for a chance to win tickets to this year’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 19 in Los Angeles, CA.
