In memory of James Francis Bauer

How do you say goodbye to a man who led his family with grace, dignity, and humor for so many years? It is impossible. To the family and friends of James Francis Bauer, his words of wisdom and quick wit live on. So it has never been, “goodbye,” but rather, “see you soon.”

James Francis Bauer left behind his devoted wife of 56 years, Frances Bauer; four daughters, Joy Tweedy (husband Ron), Tammy Bertsch, Jama Latham (husband Kelly) and Deanette Christopherson (husband Tim); 20 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Jim was an outstanding athlete from Wapato High School who held many records in both football and basketball. He went on to play in college at both WSU and EWU and earned a degree in teaching. Jim taught at Brewster High School before moving to Spokane, WA. He taught for almost 30 years in the Mead School District and coached both football and basketball. He was devoted to his students and athletes and always felt it was an honor to be a part of their lives.
