In memory of Norman R. Dodson

October 2, 1946 – October 26, 2015

It is with profound sadness and a broken heart that I have to tell you that my husband and best friend, Norman Dodson, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015, at 3:30 P.M. at home in Cathedral City, CA. He was sleeping peacefully and, finally, without pain. Norm waged a most courageous battle against the prostate cancer that ended his life.

I know it was difficult to see that Norm was ill because he never let the illness get the best of him. Positive thoughts. Positive people around him. Norm continued his life, between treatments, as he wished to live.

As you all know Norm was a most remarkable and fine man. He always conducted himself with the highest of ethics, sadly lacking in today’s world, and always acted with grace and generosity. He was a man of conviction and held his principles high.

He treasured his family and his friends, and he was the most wonderful husband I could have ever wished for.

Norm was so surprised and overcome with emotions as our friends and family wrote him such wonderful words of encouragement, love, and shared memories.

It is rare for anyone to pass on knowing how much he was loved and admired, and how many true, wonderful friends he has. I can’t thank you all enough for letting Norm know how much you cared and how much he mattered to you. As for myself, I thank you all profusely for the overwhelming support and love you have given me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My love to all of you,
