About Jaimi A.

This story is about my aunt and cousins who have been caring for my uncle Bob Massi for the past year. Yesterday he passed away after battling cancer that began in the prostate and quickly spread to his brain, and basically everywhere in his body that it could. He fought to make it through radiation and my cousins his children spent each night with him taking turns to help keep him comfortable and help his wife my aunt to stay strong. Bob Massi was a Vegas icon to many and decided to stay extremely private during his battle with cancer but now that he’s gone I wish he hadn’t. There has been an outpouring of love and support across the nation, people that were truly touched by him and his work and his generosity and lively personality. As his god daughter i feel so lucky to have had him in my life for the time God have us but like most cancer battles it ended too soon for him and he’s left his wife, children, grandchildren and family longing for another second to hug him once more. My aunt Lynn his wife spent every waking hour by his side both at home or in hospital. His children balanced their work and there families and their time helping him for months hoping their efforts would save him and comfort him. We are all heart broken. My father his brother lost his best friend yesterday. I hope for the future that there are advances in the treatment and prevention of prostate cancer. The quickness at which it spread in my uncles case had doctors baffled in Las Vegas. I’m mostly sharing this story not for the care package but because it’s so raw emotionally having just happened and i just want to say how much i appreciate you’re involvement in this foundation. I hope it truly makes a difference in people lives. Thank you Jaimi A
